FROGGY'S DEW RESUME

As of yesterday, I have a new favorite Hard Mountain Dew flavor, and it’s not even close.

This is Baja Blast Mango. In terms of non-alcoholic Dews, there have been two mango-based sodas in the Baja series so far: Baja Mango Gem, which came out in 2022, and Baja Laguna Lemonade, which came out last year. I don’t detect any lemonade flavor in Baja Blast Mango, so I’m pretty sure that this is supposed to be the alcohol equivalent of Baja Mango Gem.

Unfortunately, I never got to try Baja Mango Gem, so I have no idea how Baja Blast Mango compares to the original. However, if we compare it to the rest of the Hard Mountain Dew lineup instead, I can tell you that this one absolutely blows the others out of the water. Baja Blast Mango is so delicious, I audibly said “oh my god” multiple times while drinking it. It is seriously THAT good.

The mango flavoring comes through a lot stronger than the Baja Blast flavoring, but it totally works. It’s so fruity and so sweet, the zero sugar aftertaste (which I am notoriously not a fan of) was barely noticeable. I happen to love mango, so I’m probably biased here, but damn this is an incredible beverage!

I cannot recommend this one enough. If you enjoy mango even a little bit, you are going to fall head over heels in love with Baja Blast Mango. I certainly did!!!

Also, if any Mountain Dew executives ever read this… Please bring back Baja Mango Gem so I can taste it!
