Tasty, but not much of a “shock.” Full review for @MountainDew #BlueShock here: [link to this page]

So, I actually tasted this flavor for the first time a couple weekends ago, but I’ve been so busy lately that writing the review has kinda slipped my mind. Apologies for that!

With that disclaimer out of the way, let’s dive right in. Today, I’m going to be talking about Blue Shock, which is a “berry and citrus” Dew.

Blue Shock is a bit unusual because, unlike most Mountain Dew flavors, it is primarily a slushie. In fact, the soda version of Blue Shock isn’t even available in America. The one that I had was a 7-Eleven Slurpee.

Right before I stepped into 7-Eleven that day, Curtis and I were at the movie theater to see Wicked. Ironically, my beverage of choice while watching the movie was a blue raspberry Icee. Having drank a blue raspberry Icee and a Blue Shock Slurpee back to back, I can say with confidence that they are damn near the same thing.

I mean, I like blue raspberry Icees, so I enjoyed it, but if you’re hoping for something more like a slushie version of Voltage, you will be disappointed. Blue Shock literally just tastes like someone poured some Mountain Dew into a blue raspberry Icee. Not much “shock” there.

I am curious to try Blue Shock soda now though!
