Yes.  FreeScore is free basketball software. There are no upfront fees, yearly subscriptions, or monetization through ads, cookies, or data harvesting. It is the full version with all capabilities, and not a limited tier or partial "Trial version" that will time out.

Yes. FreeScore is Windows-native basketball scoreboard software designed to run on a standard Windows PC. 

This has been tested on the following:

• Windows 10

• Windows 10 Pro

• Windows 11

No. FreeScore can operate without an internet connection, data connection, or network.  The software is designed to run completely independent of all internet and network needs.

Yes. The scoreboard display can be presented on a monitor, TV, projector, or large gymnasium display. All you need to do is connect that display to your PC or Laptop.

Yes. FreeScore can be used for tournaments, school games, club basketball, community leagues, practices, and other basketball events.

Yes. The software can be used for school basketball games, tournaments, practices, and other gymnasium events.

Yes. The software includes a statistics tracking window for recording team and individual statistics.

There are two data exports that you can do from the program. Both of them are Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) files.

• The Game Control window allows you to generate an "Official clock file" that has all Scoreboard events (Points, fouls, timeouts) logged to the team that initiated them, and timestamped to the period and clock.

• You can get a secondary file from the statistics tracking window. These are more detailed, and tied to the actual player that initiated them and timestamped to the period and clock.  (But these are based on when the statistics keeper logged them, so if that person is slow, you could have a couple second offset from when they actually happened in game.)   Through the software you can track points, fouls, turnovers, blocks, steals, rebounds, assists and personal minutes.

No. FreeScore is designed to run on a standard Windows PC. You can connect the computer to an appropriate TV, monitor, projector, or other display.

Yes, but there actually is very little data storage and none of it leaves your computer. 

There are only 2 things that reside inside of the program, and all of that data stays local to the computer it is run on. Here is what it stores:  

• Your own custom game setups (Like if you are making some tournament setup of 5-minute quarters and want to reset and reload and rerun those repeatedly.)   

• Any team rosters (Your own teams or teams you commonly scrimmage against.  But the only reason you would bother to input this is if you are planning on using the statistics tracking.)

Any logs of game data only save as Excel files if you choose to export a file at the end of the game.

No.  It has not been designed or tested for that.
