Freedom Dreaming Through Abstract Art with Kate Wright



Watch the “Finding Meaning in Abstraction”video and complete the exercises below:

Exercise #1: If you were to draw freedom, what lines would you choose?

Create for a while, then observe. What do you notice?

Exercise #2: What is freedom to you? If it were a color, what color would it be?

Use any materials avaialbe to you to represent freedom as a color.

Exercise #3: How would freedom move?

Visually describe freedom through movement.


Create a large scale work that represents your emergent education freedom dream(s):

  • Or, you can combine and integrate the artwork you created in response to the color, line, and movement exercises above.
