The Challenge

With a sudden surge in the number of design enthusiasts in Nigeria, there is a need for proper design education. DesignPal was established to meet that need however, to attract and guide young designers and enthusiasts, its message has to be clear and proper. 

The Solution

To appeal to young designers trying to put their careers on the fast track, we created a website that sounded authoritative, confident and helpful. To achieve this, we used simple but clear and concise language followed by social proof such as testimonials and case studies.  

How I Helped

• Carried out research on users and studied the content pattern of other tech/design academies. 

• Created content style guide to define the organization's voice and tone and maintain consistency across all digital platforms.

• Collaborated with the designer and product owner to decide how best to design content for the landing page and website to build confidence in our teaching method.

• Carried out copy testing with team members and a selected pool of students.

Results

• 6 weeks after the launch of the landing page, DesignPal had 2000 students on the waitlist and an additional 1700 applications after complete launch.

• Since its first cohort in January 2022, DesignPal has trained over 700 designers with 55 content design students under my mentorship.
