Hello FooFans,
My most ambitious project yet, Pure Samur! This is one of my 'legacy ideas', one of those founding ideas that kickstarted the channel. While not included in the first ever notation for the channel, it came swiftly after thinking of new Maykr ideas. Naturally, if I were to add new Maykrs, why not change the one Maykr character I had an issue with into something more up my ally, so to speak; and thus was born Pure Samur.
Now, I don't want to come across as someone who is bashful towards ID Software however, I felt what they decided to do with Samuel Hayden after Doom (2016) was a spit in the face. Samuel Hayden quickly became one of my favourite characters while playing Doom (2016), and the way they set up that ending had genuine years of speculation and excitement from my brother and I. Ideas from an Argent Energy fuelled robot army to mechanised demons, enhanced by the Crucible... Never in a million years would I have speculated back then that ID Software would turn this character into a wanna-be hero, and have him already defeated before you ever meet him in the sequel.
Regardless, this fuelled my creativity and had me both frustrated in the direction they took but interested to see where they take it. Maykrs were new, they were interesting and unknown. Jump forward to present day, I think they're still figuring out what the hell to do with Maykrs. They're interesting, but how can they be organically woven into the story and extended history without ruining something? Make them secretive! Well, it worked but... I don't know, I wanted more. I guess I'll just have to wait along with everyone else.
Either way, the concept is here. It's taken a hell of a long time to make and came in at around 30 minutes! That long for a concept? Yeah, I couldn't believe it either. I had a blast making it though, so much fun trying to make an idea for a sequel to a game that at the time hadn't been confirmed to exist. ID Software is working on the Dark Ages DLC, and I'm thinking of the sequel to Doom Eternal, still (at the time) having not played or looked into Dark Ages!
Argent Samur / Pure Samur was a huge project that I am happy to have finally put out to the public. An idea worth waiting for, one worth advertising for too. Throughout July I've been creating promotional pieces to build hype. Some may scoff, 'you only have 600 subscribers...', well to that I say true, but if I was one of them, this would be the coolest thing ever. Besides, if I ever make it big it'll be fun to look back on knowing I put effort in even when it wasn't even a guarantee the video would ever receive 1000 views.
Look, metrics cloud my judgement of my own performance. Prior to my return in 2026, it was something that really damaged my ego. Spending between 5 - 15 hours on a project in total (script, recordings, editing, promotion, etc.) for it to only ever be shown to 100 - 300 people who saw roughly 2 minutes and 15 seconds of the 8 minute long video was heart breaking and really put me off. Now, I can look at a project independent of the metrics and be happy that I'm happy with the finished result. I'm happy that those who saw it found a hidden gem amongst the crappy short-form content that floods the internet. I'm pleased they chose something to watch that sparks creativity, it's a lost art and I'm just happy to be that inspiration for people.
I suppose this blog post is a long winded way of saying, the video is out. Share it around, get people inspired and let's make the internet a more interesting place with our ideas! Or at the least, the Doom Community. I'm tired of the discourse lately, it's not the community I knew in 2020... Anyway, in the near future I'll be playing Doom: The Dark Ages a year late to the party and diving into the last three Doom FooCepts... But more news on that, and if it really in a finale like I once thought it would be in the coming weeks.
Thank you all for your ongoing support,

Hello FooFans,
It's been a busy few weeks for me jumping between multiple projects. It was absolutely brilliant to see the overwhelming success on my Eternal Demons video! In just 6 days it amassed the same amount of views as the original video, I am beyond thrilled to see that! I had always worried that remaking my old concepts would come across as lazy or tacky, but I'm glad that the few times I've done that people have met me with more positive reception.
Lately I've been balancing the editing of episode 2 of my Lay of the Land series and the upcoming New Maykrs video which I plan to release (hopefully) in a weeks time from writing. There's a lot that goes into editing these videos, and having to do that and work a 9 - 5, and study is a lot to manage... But I do. It's something I was thinking about earlier today in fact. When I had started this channel I had so much free time, and now look at me. The things we do, huh?
I digress, the Maykr video is coming along very nicely and I've even started to build a little campaign to build hype for the sequel to this concept video. It's one I've had to keep under wraps for literal years. Since 2021 I've had this idea and over the years it's something I've tinkered with to get it just right for the video. Even if it's not perfect the first time around, I'm more than happy to take feedback and bring it to you as best I can because it might be the biggest concept to date...
Maykrs are coming, I'm just not entirely sure when. Oh and the Doom Eternal playthrough series is on a little hold for the meantime, I want to focus on doing FooCepts and Lay of the Land since they're my breadwinning series at the moment. Unfortunately, but also unsurprisingly, a Doom Eternal let's play in 2026 just doesn't resonate with people like it would've 6 years ago. Even still, I will continue to put the same love, care and effort into the series. I'm sure in time it'll build an audience that'll grow fond of it and hopefully even learn or relax because of it.

Hello FooFans,
I just wanted to remind everyone that there are 7 final Doom Eternal FooCepts left, and with the recent release of the Eternal Demons video, there are now 5 videos remaining. I'm very excited to reveal my next video will be to do with something other than demons... I believe this will set the tone for the video to follow it nicely as that one is probably going to be one of my biggest concepts, ever.
Of the 7, there are 3 which are extremely large projects, as far as the FooCept series is concerned. They're going to take some time to put together so your patience will be much appreciated. I'm hoping the payoff will be as grand as the idea... Time will tell. In the meantime, my Lay of the Land and Doom Eternal playthroughs will keep you busy!

Hello FooFans,
Back in 2021, I uploaded my concept for Eternal Demons for Doom. I look back on that video with a little bit of regret as initially I was planning to release it as a 3 in 1, much like my new 2026 version. Alas, I feared people wouldn't watch long enough to see my idea through so I cut the planned Eternal Mancubus and Eternal Archvile from the 2021 version, but kept the idea safe.
Jump forward to the 13th of June and the Eternal Demons are back in 2026 with a fresh render by myself and an entirely new set of abilities. Using the knowledge I've gained from people in the Doom community, I wanted to make something people would be excited to see and improve on my original idea. It's something I did first with the Cursed Prowler video, but I felt this change was far more impactful.

Hello FooFans,
I've just uploaded my first video on a new game, Lay of the Land. It's a bit of an experimental series as I'm testing the waters for another playthrough in a similar vein, but also getting some practice in to make sure it all pans out as planned. Either way, I had an absolute blast making the first instalment of this series and judging by the comments, some of you FooFans did too!
It also marks the first video on the channel to reach over 40 minutes. It was originally a 2 hour, 15 minute recording so the editing process took a little longer than I'm used to but it also allowed me to work a lot more freely compared to my FooCept series. It was a cool challenge, I finally got to use some of my sound effects I've been collecting over the years and experiment with soundscapes to build emotion. (RIP Timothy).
Look, at the end of the day I'm not going to make anyone tear up watching a voxel horse die but if it at the very least makes a 40 minute video more engaging to watch then I'm all here for it. It was a fun experience to both play and edit and I'm keen to delve deeper in the near future!

Hello FooFans,
After collaborating with LordFindoGask734 on my Nightmare Demon concept video, I couldn't be more pleased with the final result! It was a fantastic collaboration, with their art direction directly influencing some of my ideas regarding the behaviour surrounding the demons.
The video has since amassed over 400 views on YouTube, solidifying itself in the FooCept series and history.

Hello FooFans,
On May 1st, exactly 5 years after the first video on FooSarr was uploaded, I will be returning to your screen bigger than before. There's a lot of topics to discuss with you, and I can't wait to share everything I've been working on, I am very excited to get back into this so join me on May 1st for my first video in nearly 2 and a half years.
Moving forwards with the channel, things will be different. I will be wrapping up the Doom Eternal FooCept series with 7 final videos, and to space them out (so that I have time to work on them all alongside my busy personal life) I will now be introducing playthroughs to the channel. This is something I am quite passionate about, and something I tried to work on back in 2021 with my Terraria Video that I'm still upset didn't get the love it deserved.
The first video back will be the first instalment of my Doom Eternal Playthrough and following that I will showcase the first of the final 7 FooCept's, the Nightmare Demons. Following this, I am working on a playthrough of a new indie game, which should offer something entirely unique to the channel that I hope will help ease the transition away from Doom.

Hello FooFans,
April has swiftly approached and I am once again reminded of that Daisy being the true antagonist of Doom video I made for April Fools... Don't get me wrong, it's hilarious but what was even better was that some commenters believed I was being serious.
I digress... Behind the scenes I have been hard at work distancing myself from many social media platforms and pushing for a safer online experience. This took up much of my time leading up to March, but has since subsided along with my personal studies. This means since mid March, I've been free to work on Doom concepts in my spare time as often as possible.
The second week of April this year has proven to be quite fruitful. Already, I have completed 6 of 7 script rewrites and begun performing voiceovers, too. There's still some work that needs to be done on my microphone quality, I strongly advise any upcoming creators to avoid any of the Blue Yeti products... These microphones have been a pain in the arse, they do the job but the over reliance on software is what ruins it for me.
That being said, things are happening and are well and truly in motion. There is still no ETA on anything, but if all goes well I am really hoping that by August 2026 there'll be something uploaded. Fingers are crossed for earlier than that of course, but that's my worst case scenario outside of another years wait which is more unrealistic.
It's genuinely been thrilling to get back into the groove again after posting on Discord back in 2025 that I quit. I'm not sure where this positive energy came from but I'm all here for it and planning on making it last for this entire Doom finale batch of videos.

Hello FooFans,
It has been nearly 2.5 years since I last uploaded a video to my channel. That's a long time to be away and yet you all kept it alive and well. I've seen posts on all sorts of forums online asking if anyone remembers who I am, I've seen support from other Doom YouTubers, and I've been asked privately by viewers of the channel if everything is okay.
I sincerely appreciate everyone who has helped the channel grow since 2021. Those who were on first, the FooFanatics Discord, and then secondly, the FooVerse Discord would know that I've been keeping busy behind the scenes since the day I stopped uploading. The real world takes priority in my life as YouTube earns me no money, so I focused on that...
In the background, I've been tinkering away at all sorts of projects. I went from over 80 ideas for Doom Eternal at the start of my absence, down to just 7 in an effort to focus on quality over quantity. These 7 videos will serve as my last for the Doom topic for awhile whilst I focus on the content that I wish to produce. The first two videos that I will return with are going to be about my new Nightmare Demons concept and a remaster of my 3rd video, Eternal Demons as it will directly tie into a future video.
I plan to return to content creation later this year, I believe that 2026 is the year to come back, a new beginning. Instead of just making FooCept videos, I want to dip my hand into the realm of gameplay video, too. I believe I have something to offer in this medium and hope that over time it'll pay off. I have many goals in mind, but as I've learned, the best ideas come slowly. Give it some more time, FooSarr will return, soon...

Hey, the name's FooSarr and welcome to the FooVerse!
In light of the recent changes platforms such as Discord have made, I have decided to dissolve my affiliation with them. Instead, I have opted for a dedicated website to host all of the most important information about the channel and a hub for every concept I share. It's my hope that this is a more universally accessible way to support and engage with the channel.
Currently, I have no plans on returning to Discord or other such similar platforms. My primary form of communication will be via YouTube or E-mail (found here) as I genuinely don't believe there is an appropriate platform to host my community at this stage. While disappointing, I am eager to pool my energy into a dedicated blog / portfolio regarding my channel and hope that it bolsters a stronger foundation for the future.
So welcome to The FooVerse and I hope it serves you well. If you have any suggestions for the website, please supply them here.
Thank you,
FooSarr
