FOMF Annual Report 2021

The Friends of Mount Field (FOMF) no longer need to provide an annual report to the extent of previous years, this is a briefer version. In addition Adrian Blackman, who wrote the last several reports, is not able to help.

In 2021 we had 5 working bees cancelled due to weather, including three in a row. This had an impact on the number of volunteer hours. Overall volunteer attendance for the year was well down on earlier years, see chart 2 below and only up on 2020 because of the restrictions in place that year.

Prior to his retirement the group had many years working with Mount Field ranger Trevor Norris. He was very encouraging to FOMF and we enjoyed working with him. Trevor said how he liked to be out in the field with us and clearly was very fond of the park. Sadly Trevor died In December, but he has left $5000 to FOMF, which we intend to use in a way we think he would like.
