FOCUS On Uganda exists to assist the people of Uganda in partnership with the Wesleyan Church through financial support, prayers, and mission teams.

Reaching people with the gospel of Jesus Christ is central to the Wesleyan Church of Uganda. Beginning in 2003 with 1 congregation, it has grown to more than 70 in Uganda and helping others in Kenya and Rwanda. It is this evangelistic emphasis that was in the heart of Rev. Lucas Hamirie, as he and his wife Prossy and other friends began the movement for the salvation of souls. As many young people found the love of the church and the redemption of their lives through Jesus, they have become pastors with the desire to lead others to Christ.

Our History
Members of FOCUS Wesleyan Church first started taking teams to Uganda in 1995. As the Wesleyan Church of Uganda developed, under the leadership of Rev. Lucas Hamirie, a partnership was established known as FOCUS On Uganda. Teams go regularly to provide training, medical care and construction assistance, and just simply encourage. Financial assistance has been fundamental to the infrastructure of the church in Uganda and people from across the U.S. have joined teams to share their love in person. It has been a partnership that God continues to grow and bless.

FOCUS On Uganda is a 501c3 organization under FOCUS Wesleyan Church, Georgetown KY. We have been active in Uganda since 2005 and function under a volunteer board. No administrative costs are taken from the donations to support projects in Uganda. 100% of all donations go directly to the projects identified.
