Boat History
Miss Emma Jane, an aft-cockpit boat, was commissioned in 1968 as a round Britain race boat and fitted from new with Cummins Big cam 504's and Parsons reduction box's together with two 200 gallon tanks in the rear and a very powerful sailor radio set up. She has an oversized keelson.
Mr William Pittard of Pittard glove manufactures was the original owner and named her after his daughter.
[Ed: Although originally built for the Round Britain Race of 1969, we have no record of her taking part in the race or race number. As always, all information gratefully received.]
