Boat History
Built originally for David Palengat, she competed in the 1972 London Monte-Carlo Race, finishing 6th overall. Gaining prizes for Best All-Rounder and First British Cruiser. Also noted as rescuing the crew of 'Spirit of Michaelhouse' when that boat sank in the Bay of Biscay during the race.
She appears in the film "Best of British" which is included on the club DVD.

You can see 'Double Century' in action in the Ford film of the 1973 London Monte-Carlo race. You will also see Huntsman 28 '909' in the early part of the race (00:48) although not entered. The other Huntsman 31 'Spirit of Michaelhouse' which unfortunately was not to complete the race makes a cameo appearance at (14:10)
