2019, the 130th Sons of the American Revolution Anniversary

On April 30, 1889, William Osborn McDowell organized the Sons of the American Revolution at Fraunces Tavern in New York. That date was the centennial for the inauguration of George Washington as the First President of the United States in 1789.

Wreaths Across America Bay County, (WAABC)

On 18 Nov 2019, the Panama City Chapter, SAR bought 15 wreaths at $15 a piece for the

Wreaths across America Bay County, (WAABC). The SAR, DAR & CAR will be

participating at the early morning ceremony at Kent Lawn Cemetery, 14 Dec 2019.

On 18 Nov 2019, DeCody Brad Marble was presented the National Society Sons of the American Revolution

Lafayette Volunteer Service Medal by Florida Society Northwest Regional Vice President,

"Matt" Mathews. Marble preform data entry at the SAR (PRS) Patriot Research System.

Over 40 hours work, 153 lineages digitize and 93 biographies written.

On 13 Nov 2019, Saint Andrew Bay Chapter, Florida NSDAR, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution Meeting: Welcomes Madame State Regent, Kay Yarbrough.

Event held at St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club, 218 Bunkers Cove Road, Panama City.

On 11 Nov 2019, the Panama City Chapter, SAR participated in two Veterans Day Parades!

James Franklin "Jim" Haynes - Driver & DeCody Brad Marble - Flag Waver/Saluter

On 07 Nov 2019, Marvin Enloe McCain of Lynn Haven, Florida, WWII Veteran, Corporal in the 90th Reinforcement 3rd Army, under the Great General George Patton, and in 1974, A. Crawford Mosley High School’s First Principal, and afterward the developer of Mowat Highlands, receives his 35 Year Membership Award with Lapel Pin from the Panama City Chapter Sons of the American Revolution.

Actually, records reflect that Marvin join the SAR on 31 March 1981, 38 years ago. The Panama City Chapter founded in July 1973.

On 7 Nov 2019, Secretary, DeCody B Marble had the honor to present the award at McCain’s renovated Hurricane Michael damage home, while McCain’s wife, Lenda took the photo.

Lenda was formerly a Daughters of the American Revolution Regent.

The presentation made two days prior to Marvin E. McCain’s 96th Birthday.

Caroline Patricia Rivoire Windham receives the SAR Martha Washington Award for submitting three male applications, which were approved.

Also SAR Award Recognition for St. Andrew Bay Chapter, Florida, NSDAR member, Ruth Starling Glenn.

Ruth Starling Glenn receives the SAR Molly Pitcher Award for submitting a male member application which was approved.
