Thinking about an advanced degree?
The 1199SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund (TUF) is accepting applications for the Graduate Scholarship Program, which offers financial assistance to 1199SEIU members who are working to complete an advanced degree that can be used for future employment at UHealth Tower. Priority will be given to applicants enrolling in a program of study, including MBA, MHA and MSN degrees, that benefit the delivery of care at UHealth Tower.
Subject to the availability of funds, students enrolled in a key shortage profession program and taking required/major courses or clinical courses (not general education courses or pre-requisites) will have a total maximum of $12,000 (for graduate students) per calendar year. For graduate programs, students must apply and be awarded a graduate scholarship.
What does the graduate scholarship cover?
Each year, TUF will administer 20 awards of up to $7,500 per calendar year for tuition and approved fees. Participants will continue to receive the $7,500 annual benefit amount until completing the approved program of study.
