Bringing a Season to an End

When your season ends a couple things we have learned that greatly enhance the community of learning.

1. Have an end of season celebration.
   1. At house of team member
   2. At school
   3. Have some recognition
      1. Departing team member share and reflect
      2. Coaches talk about all the great things
      3. End season on a great note
2. Team member meeting
   1. Meet with each team member 1 on 1
      1. Reflection of year
      2. What they liked and did not like
      3. Goals for next year
      4. Plan to reach goals

Sample Questions We Have Used

• What was something you did not expect?
• What was your perspective of the year?
• What would like to do next year?
• What does the team need to improve upon?
• What would be something you would like to do different?
• Should we mix age groups or keep older vs. younger?
• Need to organize some kits to check out for students to experiment with over summer
