Theatre / Acoustic Music
A group of friends find themselves having a jam in Myponga and the conversation turns to "The Australian Festival of Progressive Music" - the crazy event that was the 1971 Myponga Music Festival. Headlined by Black Sabbath and featuring the genesis of what was to become the flourishing pub rock scene of the 70s and 80s, this festival was billed as Australia's answer to Woodstock, with acts as diverse as Margret Roadknight and The Moonshine Jug and String Band to Daddy Cool, Axiom, Spectrum, and the list goes on. Reminisce and sing your heart out with Sometimes Kevin as they tell the stories and sing acoustic versions of the songs from the festival and the acts that influenced the brilliant music of the time and evolved from it.
