Apply to Perform

Performers for 2025 will be selected by invitation only

This is because two significant external factors have required us to alter the format of Fleurieu Folk Festival for 2025.   The first issue is that the Willunga Oval will be unavailable for our scheduled weekend due to the installation of a new underground watering system (with no camping or venues on the oval and restricted access to the entire park due to large equipment on-site). The second issue is that our major sponsor, the City of Onkaparinga, has paused its Grants program for 2025.

As a result of having only partial access to the Recreation Park and significantly reduced funding, the Festival Committee has assessed how we can continue to bring a festival experience to you, our dedicated patrons, in 2025. After investigating many possibilities, we have determined that the best option will be a spectacular 12-hour one-day Fleurieu Folk Day on Saturday, 25th October 2025, in our Festival Hall venue (Rec Park Stadium), featuring the cream of South Australian musicians.

We will be inviting performers to apply to perform in this exclusive program and will release the line-up once contracts have been finalised.

We will be back in 2026 with a full three-day Fleurieu Folk Festival in 2026, so keep an eye on our website and Facebook for when we announce the opening of Performer applications for 2026!

Important information for performers

Paid performers must have their own public liability insurance and will be required to provide a copy of their Certificate of Currency. When performing, you are a Festival service provider and, as such, are not covered by the Festival's public liability insurance. We suggest looking into insurance options with Folk Alliance Australia . You need to be or become a member of Folk Alliance Australia to take advantage of this insurance.

Alternatively, you may wish to donate your performance to the Festival, in which case you would be considered a volunteer and be covered by the Festival's public liability insurance.

Performers must also accept all responsibility for their Tax obligations, Superannuation and Work Cover requirements.

All fees quoted are to be inclusive of all costs such as GST, travel, etc.

We welcome and look favourably upon artists who will also contribute by helping make the festival happen! We always need MCs, Venue Managers and many other tasks, so please also strongly consider volunteering. Please note that the Festival is run by volunteers, including a number of musicians and dancers and survives solely on ticket sales and sponsorship and through their goodwill.
