Red-Tail nature preserve near Prairie Creek Reservoir

The Red-Tail Nature Preserve is located just off the Cardinal Greenway close to Prairie Creek Reservoir in Selma. The preserve features two winding paths through the property that loop through the prairie and near a small pond. FlatLand Resources partnered with Red-Tail to design and construct a space that centered on the prairie and serves both visitors and wildlife in the area. The preserve features an osprey nest, a few rustic style benches, a lookout deck shaped like an eagle at the entrance, and wide gravel paths throughout the space to enjoy the native plants and wildlife. One of the paths at the preserve also connects to the Prairie Creek mountain bike and ATV trails by crossing S County Road 461 E.
