spatial wonder at street level

At FLR we are focused on creating spatial wonder. One of the many aspects to community spatial wonder includes safe and accessible pedestrian movement through neighborhoods. We worked with the 8/12 Coalition to create a sidewalk inventory of the Thomas Park/Avondale Neighborhood. This sidewalk inventory map can be used by neighborhood leaders to lobby for city involvement and fund matching to repair damaged sidewalks. The neighborhood will now have a more comprehensive view of the work that needs to be done and more accurate estimates of that work. In addition to initial sidewalk inventory, we partnered with the community to manage the construction of the sidewalks, as seen below.
