Hi, I’m Savannah Burgess and I have been an aide in Preschool and the Jungle room here at First Steps before this school year! This year will be my first year as a lead teacher and I am so excited! I am currently pursuing an educational degree in agriculture and will be attending Mizzou this fall. I have two horses and adorable mini donkey. I am giving riding lessons to an awesome young girl and loving it! Can’t wait to meet my class for this summer! We will have so much fun!
My name is Jennifer Pyatt. I was raised here in Jefferson City and recently moved back. I am passionate about working with kids and watching the lightbulbs go off as they learn and grow. I have worked with kids for the last 10 years as a child care provider, preschool teacher and children's director at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Kirksville. I attended Truman State University for college, and have recently been teaching at First Steps in the Jungle class and the Pre-Kindergarten PM class! I look forward to this summer at First Steps!
