Before I teach, I have to make observations to the class that I will teach later. Observation aims to start the adaptation between students and new teachers as well as to find out the situation and condition of the class to be taught and learn how teachers at UNP Labschool teach and deliver material. 

At UNP Labschool the steps that must be taken before teaching include the most important thing is to contact our tutor, then discuss to determine the subjects that will be taught according to the direction of the tutor. The next step is to prepare lesson plans and learning materials. After that, checking the lesson plan with the supervising teacher, if something is not right, then you have to make improvements and re-edit until the lesson plan is approved. The last step is to finalize and print the lesson plans and learning materials needed. 

My first teaching practice was on October 22, 2024. At that time I was responsible for teaching math subjects in grade 3 specifically on the topic “Part of Sentence”. I was ready with a lesson plan and two learning materials. After that, I reviewed the topic that had been learned on the previous day to trigger students' recall, then I taught according to the lesson plan. And when it was time to use the learning materials, students started to be enthusiastic and couldn't wait to try answering the quiz inside.

My second teaching practice was on October 28, 2024. At that time I was also responsible for teaching math subjects in class 3 specifically with the topic “Writing Correct Sentence”. And I repeated the material that I had previously conveyed to them. then I taught according to the lesson plan. And when it was time to use the instructional materials, students started to get enthusiastic and couldn't wait to try answering the quiz inside. With the help of instructional materials, students become active and engaged in the learning process. Until the time is almost up, I give questions on paper as their evaluation to find out their understanding of the material I have taught.
