“From Local to International Classroom: Teaching Experience with SEA-Teachers”
Based on my observations of my cooperating teacher's instructional approach, a variety of methods were used, with a major emphasis on student-centered methodologies. In particular, communicative language teaching methods are often used. In this method, teachers usually ask students questions, connecting the content of the lesson to everyday life. This approach aims to stimulate students' active participation by framing questions in the context of students' experiences. In addition, the student-centered approach is evident in the use of the discussion method. After the teacher's explanation, students will be asked again about the material that has been presented by the teacher and discuss the material discussed during the lesson. This dynamic approach promotes collaborative learning and encourages students to delve deeper into the subject matter. And students will be very active in participating in learning with this method.
