The Power of Prayer

By God's will to remake a heart,

To cure the ill and fuel the weak of spirit,

To call fire and water forth,

From the earth and heavens,

Bread and fruits to course,

Life through my veins,

Supply my soul endlessly,

Fill the hollow chambers of my heart,

With the light of joy and love,

Where darkness seeks to take root.

Give way to peace in war,

Means of plenty in drought and famine,

Full bellies and full vessels,

Fountains of spirit overflowing for my kind,

From the Maker of All.
