This is a tough page because it is all based on memory and mine is fading a little at nearly 60. Most of these cameras are also not my own but my wife's cameras. Thankfully, there are only a couple.
My family owned a couple of this 126 film cameras. I remember those bulbs being hot as hades right after they flashed.
Kodak instamatic 100 Camera
Possibly the earliest camera I remember being in my home. Pretty sure we owned this 100 model with single bulb flash design but may also have owned one with the rotating cube flash as well. This used 126 film cartidges (seen to the right). Essentially, 26 film is similar to 35mm but images were square instead of rectangular.
Mar. 1963 - June 1966
$15.95
Kodak Instmatic 104 Camera
On the surface these cameras appear identical but this 104 model used rotating cube flash bulbs (NOT Magic Cubes or X-Cubes) instead of the single bulbs used by the 100 model. Like the 100 model this one also used 126 film.
July 1965 - Sept. 1968
$15.95
Paid $20 for one at Jerry's Antiques in Grand-Falls Winsor 7/25/2026
My wife has a memory worse than mine when it comes to this stuff. I am pretty sure she owned the Sure Shot Supreme when we first dated. That one went missing in Harbour Grace 30+ years ago. Then we had a Sure Shot 76mm Zoom which suffered the same fate but I don't remember the exact circumstances. That camera was replaced by either the Sure Shot 85 Zoom (pictured below) or the Sure Shot 105mm (pictured in the header above).
Both the Supreme and 76 Zoom are now back in my collection (but not the originals).
Canon Sure Shot Supreme (1986)
Pretty sure this is the camera Bonnie owned when we met. I believe it is the one that went missing in Carbonear up on the landing strip back in the 90s.
Released: 1986
Back in my collection. 3/26/26
Canon Sure Shot 76 zoom (2000)
Think we had one of these cameras after the other Canon disappeared.
Released: Feb. 2001
Picked this one up for $10 at a thrift Store in Holyrood (3/4/26)
I am in search of one like the one pictured below.
If we didn't own the one to the left/above I think we owned this one instead. It is possible we owned both.
Released: Sept. 1998
