This minimum viable product (MVP) or proof of concept was developed in alignment with the initial plan (see Appendix F). Some features were omitted, particularly the color-coding system, the map key based on the Dewey Decimal System, and the step-by-step guide due to contextual factors (see eJournal 2 and Appendix F).
Instead of using the traditional slide-based storyboard approach, I created a minimum viable product (MVP) of the online course so that the initial proof of concept could serve as a foundation for future iterations. I focused on developing the bare bones of the course, specifically the main page, which contains the course introduction and course outline. I also tested various themes, colors, and fonts for the course until I found one that aligns with the library’s branding. After that, I developed one lesson in full (i.e., Step 1A: Perform the Four Main Actions). This completed lesson then served as the benchmark for the development of the subsequent lessons.
