This day proved challenging to almost everyone involved in the project. The rain, while much needed because of a long summer drought, was heavy and constant. The rain did not affect the mishoon as much as the comfort and spirit of those tending the fire: wet clothes, drenched camping gear, and muddy ground made the day difficult for all involved. However, the fire kept burning, and the rain eventually ended!
