The Process of Making a Mishoon
The Process of Making a Mishoon
Those of us unfamiliar with mishoonash learned that the answer to this question is not an easy one. Our mishoon took an atypical six days. One thing is for sure; the mishoon is finished when the mishoon is finished. A mishoon can easily burn too long, resulting in holes that render the canoe useless. Some on the team learned this the hard way. Andre brought along a small display mishoon he needed to finish. The fire in the small mishoon was not carefully monitored, resulting in a large hole burning right through the side. Luckily, this mishoon was created for a display, not for paddling, but it is sad nonetheless.
