PROJECT 1 : Movie Poster

Develop freehand drawing skills through a combination of self-expression, natural and man-made object drawing, architectural lettering, tonal values, and rendering, as well as colouring skills using watercolour or any colouring medium and selecting the appropriate colour palette to capture the essence and express the genre of the film.

PROJECT 2 : Farnsworth House

Orthographic drawings consisting of a plan, one section and two elevations, an axonometric drawing using the plan as reference as well as two perspectives of the house (one point perspective and two point perspective)

PROJECT 3 : Space & Sensory

Creating Layout for the A1 poster boards for AD1 project 3. Document the poster boards as well as the final model that they are based on.

Reflection

I was able to develop my artistic abilities, including writing, tonal values, and rendering, thanks to the Design Communication projects. This served as the framework for the remainder of my work this semester. Finding a balance between the artistic and analytical aspects of the subject of architecture is essential, as seen by Project 1's creative expression and Project 2's more technical effort. The lectures were very helpful in providing clarity, especially for the projects' more technical elements, along with a variety of resources (educational slides on MYtimes).
