Introducing the Color Guard Commander for the school year 2026-2027, C/ENS Brayden Blas! Being the former Color Guard MPO, C/ENS Blas will use the skills and leadership he has learned to execute his duties as commander. C/ENS Blas is also an active member and upcoming Captain for the JLAB Team, and is a member of the Honor Guard. Outside of NJROTC, he is active in both the community and school. He is the ACB Treasurer with experience of representing Guam at nationals, being a sole finalist for Speech and Debate from FDMS at the Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Member of the Guardians of the Reef, Japanese National Honor Society, FD Tennis, and FD Paddling. Outside of FD, he serves as the Representative of Chalan Pago-Ordot for Guam Youth Congress. C/ENS Blas is on the billet to attend the 2026 Area 23 Northwest Leadership Academy.
Introducing the Unarmed Commander for the school year 2026-2027, C/ENS Brayden Ho! Being a former Platoon MPO, C/ENS Ho will use the skills and leadership he has learned to lead the Unarmed Drill Team. Other than Unarmed, C/ENS Ho is also a member of the PT Team. Outside of NJROTC, C/ENS Ho is a member of the Japanese National Honor Society and participates in the FDMS Band Club. He played guitar for his class’ christmas concert and songfest performances. Outside of school, he is into content creating, music, and calisthenics as a hobby.
Introducing the Armed Drill Team Commander for the school year 2026-2027, C/ENS Ayden Buentipo! C/ENS Buentipo is a dedicated member of the Armed Drill Team, and will use the skills of leadership and initiative he has learned to execute his duties as ADT CDR. Outside of NJROTC, C/ENS Buentipo is an active member of the FDMS Bowling Team. He placed first seed for the high school all island bowling tournament and placed 3rd overall in High School League. Outside of FD, he takes his skills and commitment of bowling to the Guam National Bowling Team, where he participated in the 48th Hong Kong International Open and the U22 tournament.
Introducing the First Platoon Commander and Public Affairs Officer for the school year 2026-2027, C/LTJG Desmond Cook! Before being selected as a PC, C/LTJG Cook was an active member of the Color Guard, participating in many performances throughout his as a cadet; he was also an active member of the honor guard, and is a member of the marksmanship team. Outside of NJROTC, C/LTJG Cook is in the chess club and FD180. Outside of school, C/LTJG Cook is extremely active in judo, recently competing in the Nakano Judo Competition in Japan. He is also a confirmation leader, altar server, and lector at the St. Jude Parish in Sinajana, and volunteers at the Sinajana Mayor’s Office. C/LTJG Cook is also 1 of 5 CPR First Aid Certified in the unit.
Introducing the Second Platoon Commander for the school year 2026-2027, C/ENS Thomas Taitano! Before being selected as a PC, C/ENS Taitano was an active member of the Armed Drill Team, JLAB Team, and has served as a Master of Ceremonies for multiple events. He is also the Physical Training Captain for the upcoming school year. Outside of NJROTC, C/ENS Taitano is a member of the FD180 and is in paddling. Outside of school, C/ENS Taitano is a member of the Guam Chess Federation. As a hobby, he likes to do origami in his free time. C/ENS Taitano is on the billet to attend the 2026 Area 23 Northwest Leadership Academy.
