Cover and cover sheet

FCUL provides a template for both the “Documento Provisório” (Provisional Document) and “Documento Definitivo” (Definitve Document).

Accordingly, the cover must contain:

• The name “UNIVERSIDADE DE LISBOA” and “FACULDADE DE CIÊNCIAS” on top;
• The identification of any other institution attributing the degree (when applicable), also on top;
• FCUL’s logo;
• The thesis title;
• The mention to “Documento Provisório” or “Documento Definitivo”;
• The “ramo” (PhD field, e.g. “Ciências Geofísicas e da Geoinformação”) and, if applicable, the “especialidade” (specialization, e.g. “Meteorologia”) the PhD candidate is applying for;
• The name of the PhD candidate;
• The name(s) of the supervisor(s);
• The year of completion;
• The sentence “Documento especialmente elaborado para a obtenção do grau de doutor” (document specifically elaborated to obtain the PhD degree);
• The designation “Documento Público” (Public Document) or “Anexo Confidencial” (Confidential Attachment) whenever confidentiality is requested (more info).
