Championship week is here! We are excited for the events and once again thank our host clubs New Canaan Field Club, Shorehaven Golf Club and The Lake Club!
Schedule
Wednesday, July 30th: 10U Championships at New Canaan Field Club followed by the mandatory coaches meeting. We will meet on the NCFC property and the location will be announced after the awards ceremony. This meeting is your opportunity to voice ideas/changes/questions/comments for next year so it is purposeful. Attendance is mandatory; if you do not have a diver in the 10U events, arrive to NCFC by 12:30pm for the meeting.
Thursday, July 31st: 14U/17U Championships at Shorehaven Golf Club
Friday, August 1st: 12U Championships at The Lake Club
Meet Timeline
The UPDATED Meet Timeline is linked here - note there was an error to report time for 12U Boys on Friday! Warm-ups for the first events of each day will begin at 7:30 AM. If you have a diver competing in only the second event of the day (for example you have a 14U Boy competing 1 Meter but not 3 Meter), the diver should arrive 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled warm-up time for the event.
There will be a brief awards ceremony after each event.
Meet Travel
For those traveling to Shorehaven and The Lake Club, note there could be various lane and road closures on your route. East Ave in Norwalk on the way to Shorehaven is under construction and detours may be in place on Thursday. Parts of 106 in Wilton into New Canaan and Valley Road in New Canaan is being paved and detours may be in place on Friday. Please share with all traveling to these locations and allow extra travel time.
Entry Edits
If you have edits or scratches, email Liz Gehnrich AND Joe Somma directly. Please send 24 hours in advance of the event you are editing/scratching. Small changes can be accommodated the day-of.
Alternates
If you have entered a diver as an alternate and they will now be taking the place of a primary diver, you must notify Liz and Joe the day before the event at the latest. Alternates cannot be entered the day-of.
Volunteers
We have limited opportunities for parents who would like help each day. Please locate Joe at each meet to find out what parents can assist with.
Weather
The events will be held rain or shine. If there is hazardous weather, events will be delayed until we are given the all-clear. Weather delays and corresponding timeline changes will be sent to this distribution list.
Results
Meet results will be distributed each evening.
