Puppeteer - AU. Xue Yang succeeds in reviving Xiao Xingchen as a fierce corpse. It’s not the celebratory return that he expected, and it is going to take more effort than he first thought to persist through Xiao Xingchen’s now heightened hatred for him. 

Amnesiac - AU. After his expulsion and near death at Jin Guangyao’s hands, Xue Yang’s almost fatal experience leaves him with no memory of his past. Even though life in Yi City with Xiao Xingchen and A’Qing is fairly peaceful, he sometimes suffers from flashes of anger, a call to violence that he doesn’t understand. All he knows is, he has done something horrible in his past, and he doesn’t want to remember what it was. In this verse, everyone survives, though Xue Yang must plead his case to Xiao Xingchen when Song Lan returns and lays his crimes out to him. 

Haunted - Post-canon verse. Xue Yang survives his fight with Lan Wangji, though he languishes in a prison in Jinlintai, kept barely alive only to maintain his half of the Yin Tiger Tally he had reverse-engineered. When Jin Guangyao and Su She perish, he manages to escape, though with one less arm and a heart full of bitterness.  He has no one left to enact revenge upon, and he has lost both the Yin Tiger Tally and the Qiankun spirit trapping pouch containing the fragments of Xiao Xingchen’s soul. He almost wishes he had died… but perhaps this is his own personal Hell. 

Yunmeng Jiang Sect - AU. After the disastrous altercation with Chang Ci’an in which he loses his finger, Xue Yang is found and taken in by Jiang Fengmian, and raised within the Yunmeng Jiang sect. Although born into poverty, with no parents and no home, he is embraced by his sect siblings, and he takes to cultivation quickly, becoming the third strongest disciple behind Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng. Given the courtesy name Chengmei, Xue Yang frequently attends cultivation conferences, where he crosses paths with the illustrious Xiao Xingchen…

RWBY - AU developed with @meloraan, though open to all RWBY roleplayers who wish to interact with Xue Yang.  A villain not out of ideology but for the fun of it, this thug with an ability to manipulate Grimm can be sold to the highest bidder… or whoever is the most entertaining. Right now that’s Lucifer (my Lucifer, RWBY verse). Currently unnamed, his Semblance allows him to form Grimm copies, which are completely obedient to his command, although they are less strong than the original Grimm. 

TGCF - AU. Rather than being teleported away by Su She after his loss to Lan Wangji, Xue Yang is transported to a different world entirely. In one hand, he grasps Jiangzai; in the other, the qiankun pouch containing Xiao Xingchen's soul. In his pocket, he carries one half of the Yin Tiger Tally. In a world where no one has any expectations of him, he must survive... and heal, if Xie Lian has anything to say about it.
