( PRIMARY ; canon ; Tolkien Legendarium )
A former prince-lord of Gondolin, of the House of the Golden Flower, one of the mightiest of the Noldor. Known for his valiant sacrifice to protect refugees during the Fall of Gondolin and his defeat of the Balrog Lungorthin at the cost of his life, he was re-embodied in the Second Age with powers equal to that of the Maiar. He joined the fight against the Shadow during the Second Age, and later became ally and advisor to Elrond in Rivendell.

Main (Post-Reembodiment)- After his re-embodiment in the Second Age, Glorfindel returns to Middle Earth and joins with Elrond, lord of Imladris, in his war against Sauron. Played as canon.
First Age (Pre-reembodiment) - Any time set before the fall of Gondolin. Played as canon.
Dark Sun (Villain, post-reembodiment) - Although he is re-embodied by the Valar, Glorfindel feels listless and wayward. Unable to find healing, he turns to the darkness, seeking vengeance where he can find it, in a way to fill the empty hole in his heart left by the deaths of his loved ones. This can take place either after his canon re-embodiment, which happens in the Second Age, or I can do a little time work and have him come right back in the First Age after the Fall of Gondolin.
RWBY - Glorfindel is a graduate of Mistral Academy and a renowned fighter. He leads a cohort of Huntsman called the Golden Flower, and is known for his skill with sword and his ability to frighten off any Grimm. His Semblance is called Reflection: while in the presence of light, Glorfindel can use that light to create for himself a glowing suit of armor and a golden shield. His Aura is powerful enough to frighten off Grimm, or blind them during daylight. He is the older cousin of Aurelia Meneneus (meloraan), and the lover of Ecthelion.
