My journey in higher education began with a Bachelor’s degree in English Translation Studies, where I was introduced to linguistics, research methodologies, and the principles of learning and teaching. This foundation marked the start of my career as an ESL teacher. During my first master’s program, I co-authored my first article as part of a course assignment and wrote my thesis on intercultural competence. This experience not only enhanced my understanding of language education but also ignited my interest in educational technology, particularly through a course on Computer-Assisted Language Learning. Driven by this passion, I pursued a second master’s degree, focusing on gamification to create more engaging tools for language learners, culminating in a Major Research Paper on gamified learning experiences. After years of teaching and integrating technology into my classes, I am now pursuing a PhD to broaden my work beyond language learning and to design innovative, AI-driven learning experiences that push the boundaries of educational technology. Below, I present evidence of my expertise in research skills and my commitment to disseminating knowledge.
