Valerie: "People send me pictures from the show all the time. I love seeing them. This one was taken in December of 1980. 30 years ago. I was acting in the pilot and that same week I took over the role of Libby in "I Ought To Be In Pictures" on Broadway. Seems like a lifetime ago and at the same time as if it was yesterday."

It's great to finally have a date for when filming of the pilot took place. This means the 30th Anniversary of Fame can officially begin and we can celebrate for 3 years! 1980 for the filming of the pilot, 1981 for the start of filming of the first season and 1982 for the anniversary of the first broadcasts.
