The "Fame" TV series became so popular in the U.K during the summer of 1982, that Beat Publications decided to publish "The Official Fame Magazine".
The first issue priced at 65p was issued at the end of October 1982 to cover the month a head.
The monthly magazine was edited by Pete Reynolds and regular Contributor Stacey Weston who had her own page also set up the Official Fame Fan Club which ran for the same period of the Magazine.
18 monthly issues were published for the period November 1982 through to April 1984. However by 1984 sales had dropped off, the magazine ceased publication and also the Fan Club came to an end.
