On 15th July 1982 Lee Curreri, Carol Mayo Jenkins, Valerie Landsburg and Gene Anthony Ray made a short video message appearance thanking the U.K. for making the Fame theme song Number One in the Singles chart.

Irene Cara also sent a message and performed a special video performance of "Fame" shiowing her sdancing around New York City and in fron t of the real School of the Arts.
