Season 6 Opening Titles
Analysis
For the first time the opening credits get a total revamp, where apart from 2 clips everything else is totally new. The school frontage is the same and the moon walking red boots remains but all the new clips come from either the end of season 5 or the start of season 6. Even the cello and piano shots that had been constant throughout the first 5 years are replaced with very similar new ones!
Page Hannah and Carol Mayo Jenkins have left the show and their clips are removed. At the start of the season we are introduced to 3 new cast members: Michael Cerveris, Elisa Heinsohn and Eric Pierpoint. However, unusually they are introduced one per episode for the first three episodes resulting in 3 slightly different sets of titles as each of them joins the show.
When Nia Peeples leaves part way through the season her clip is removed and then a couple of episodes later Olivia Barash joins the cast and Dick Miller finally receives his place in the titles, so all this results in 5 slightly different sets of titles.
There are also a couple of other shots that are added at various times during these changes to balance the number of clips used.
