Ian Ware

Ian Ware is a British music major who was born in the East End of London. Cocky and determined he arrives in New York claiming to be friends with rock stars of the day like Prince, Mick Jagger and Mark Knopfler. Wanting to emulate his heroes he taught himself how to play the guitar. Although we learn in "Judgment Day" that he cannot read a note of music.

When his family moved from London to New York, Ian sought the opportunity to study at the School of the Arts to learn from Shorofsky, however student and teacher frequently disagree about music.

At times Ian has a strained and difficult relationship with his Father Jack, who he feels tries to steal the limelight.

Having left his old punk rock band and girlfriend back in London, Ian is tempted to quit school and return to England when his bandmates show up in New York but realizes he still has a lot to learn.

Ian develops a close friendship with kindred spirit Reggie Higgins which at times boarders on a romantic relationship but never quite gets there.
