We worship here at Faith every Sunday at 10:00 a.m.
You can expect a fairly relaxed service, but one that follows a liturgy with a call to worship, collective confession & forgiveness, a children's message, sermon, offering, and a blessing. We celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month and we practice an open table - believing that it is God who sets the table and calls us to participate, ALL are welcome to receive communion. You can expect hymns, new and old, from the piano and organ. And as often as possible, we enjoy the amazing talents of our choir, handbell choir, and special music guests.
After worship all are welcome to the back of the sanctuary for a time of fellowship with coffee and treats.
You can also expect special worship services throughout the year, such as - Candlelight Worship on Christmas Eve, Ecumenical Midweek Lenten services, Ash Wednesday, Good Friday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Sunrise services, All Saints Remembrance Sunday, and a Blessing of the Pets.
Current Sermon Series is based on Brene Brown's The Power of Vulnerability!
Infants and children are always welcome to be part of the worship service here at Faith UCC. Here is a place where we know it truly does take a village and there is no such thing as ‘someone else’s kids.’ We belong to one another and we know how important it is for our children to worship, as well as for our children to teach us how to worship.
We also recognize that parents and caregivers may need a break once in a while. For this reason, child care services are available each Sunday. Our nursery is staffed by a church employee who has undergone a background check and completed training in childcare and first aid. Our nursery is open to infants through 5 year olds.
For those who wish to remain in worship or are older than 5, we have a children’s corner in the front of the sanctuary where kids can keep their hands busy as they listen and participate. There are things to color, fidget toys, puzzles, books, etc.
We are also now experimenting with Children’s Church! Each Sunday after the Children’s Message in worship, all the children are invited to go downstairs for a snack, activities, and a lesson.

9:45 am - 11:00 pm
Join us each Thursday from 5:15-5:45 pm for a moment of peace and connection with God. Centering Prayer is a time for reflection, prayer, and silence. We hope that this new time might allow those of you getting off work the chance to also have a moment of silence and centering on God before you finish out your week.
Faith strives to offer an extravagant welcome to all people. Our main door has a handicap accessible push-to-open button for easy entrance. Entering through our front doors allows clear access to the main floor of the building, which includes the sanctuary, offices, nursery, restroom, and educational rooms. In our entry, we have extra walkers and wheelchairs that may be used as needed. We also have an elevator for access to the ground floor, which includes restrooms, a kitchen, and a large fellowship area. The restroom on the main floor is a family restroom, complete with a baby changing table. Service animals are also welcome.
In the United Church of Christ we take the Bible seriously, not literally. On Sundays we typically read one to two scripture passages. Sometimes these are chosen from the Revised Common Lectionary, a three-year cycle of assigned readings from all the books of the Bible. Other times they are chosen by the pastor as a part of a sermon series. And at other times, our readings are chosen to reflect a particular topic or situation in life or in the world.
Sermons are prepared prayerfully, taking the Biblical text seriously but not literally, while listening for what God is saying to us today. The pastor often puts the Biblical text into conversation with a contemporary reading or story and tries to find meaningful illustrations in life experiences, current events, and popular books and movies. Sermons are understood as just one part of an ongoing conversation about faith, spirituality, and what it means to follow in the ways of Christ in our world today.
