FINAL ASSESSMENT

INTRODUCTION.

In this assignment, students will investigate the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the process of architectural design via research, analysis, concept development, visualization and critical evaluation. The goal was not just to create design concepts with the help of AI tools but also to learn about their capabilities and constraints, as well as how they affect the decision-making process in architecture.

Along the project, various tools of AI have been employed for specific purposes such as site analysis, sustainability research, concept development, and image generation. The workflow also highlighted the need for human judgment in assessing the output, adjusting the prompt, filtering out the information that was relevant to the design, and making certain that the design decisions were consistent with the architectural principles and the project goals.

It was a great way to practice and sharpen critical thinking with AI use, gain an insight on ethical issues surrounding the use of AI-generated content, as well as the role of digital tools assisting, not replacing, the designer. The project shows that AI and human creativity can work together harmoniously to achieve successful architectural outcomes.
