History of department of information systems and technologies

Department of Information Systems and Technologies. In October 1996, the Department of Agricultural Economics was divided into the departments: Agricultural Economics and Business, Finance and Statistics, Accounting and Audit, Information Systems and Technologies.

The Department of Information Systems and Technologies is relatively young. It was established in connection with the expansion of the functional activities of the Faculty of Economics and the need to improve its organizational and educational structure. Candidate of Economic Sciences Mykhailo Trofymchuk was appointed the Head of the Department.

The department was given 5 classrooms equipped with computers. For maintenance, the latest equipment was purchased, which is periodically updated and used for educational purposes in computer classes.

In 1997, the department won the grant "Eurasia", for which the Internet node was created at the university. The specialists of the department created a local network that became part of the World Wide Web. The university website was created, which in 1998 took the first place among agricultural educational institutions and the third among all educational institutions of Ukraine.

For several years Bila Tserkva State Agrarian University was the Internet provider in the city of Bila Tserkva and provided services to the city residents. The university server hosts a large number of sites, including www.btsau.kiev.ua - the official website of BNAU.

To improve the efficiency of training specialists, the teachers of the department are constantly improving the work programs in accordance with the ongoing information changes.
