Necessities for Headless windows server

• A PC (server) connected to the internet or local LAN, with some hard-drive space to install factorio
  • Of-course more drive space, if you want to use mods. More on that later.
  • Recommended: Static IP for dedicated/public servers
• Text editor; e.g Windows Notepad or Notepad++.
• The Game "Factorio"
  • A Factorio.com account
• SteamCMD (only possible when factorio is added to your Steam account)
  • Depending on the update method a Steam account with factorio on it.
• The 2 provided Batch files or a server package

As an indication, I had my dedicated server(s) running on a separate pc with the following specs:

• AMD A8-7670K, 3.6GHz base to 3.9GHz boost
• 8GB DDR3 2400

Note: Single core performance is most important for factorio.
