Magic
The advent of Oneirum has fundamentally changed everything. Though humans were comparatively changed less than the rest of the world, they too have had their mystical powers meld with their existence. As such, magical power has largely been distributed to all of the world’s inhabitants. When using these mystical powers, a portion of a person’s internal energy is used, whether it be a form of stamina, electricity, or internal Oneirum, which may cause highly dangerous outcomes when overused, which may include fainting, internal damage, and a slew of other potential effects.
Those who possess mystical powers derive them from a Legend, a story of a mythical sort from which Oneirum may center around and grant the person from which this story has been applied to their magic. None choose their Legend, though for Humans such a thing makes itself known typically in their adolescence, while for Aberrants, such is what they are born with the day they wake, manifested into reality.
Humans
For Humans, their magic usually derives from a certain legend or story that becomes a part of them and presents them with the mystical power as depicted by the Legend from which the power originates. In the beginning, such abilities manifest themselves within the dreams of the people who possess them, featured as demonstrations of their usage against imaginary beings. It is not uncommon for humans to slowly gain the personality qualities of the legendary being from which their powers derive as they continue to develop this power.
Synthetics
Synthetics find themselves unable to use Oneirum-derived magical abilities in the same ways as the other races do. Rather, unlike the rest, they may use the Miracle much like it was used in the past, to convert its stable, contained, form into any wish. However, one must note that the cost of using such magic is quite steep and that such Oneirum commonly comes from their limited fuel cells.
Aberrations
For Aberrants, though their usage of magic is fairly similar to Humans, their being as the very embodiments of such Legends, are not those who slowly develop to become like the imaginary being, but rather, those who continue the story with their existence. As such, their presence as avatars of the Legend provides them with an inherent advantage in using it, although they must struggle to find what it is that defines the legend that they wish to tell of themselves.
