There’s nothing hidden in our language.
Years of knowing someone does that.
No need for civilities or cue cards read in polite society.
It’s only when you finally, finally feel comfortable.
Comfortable to be yourself.
All of you-
Lightheartedness,
Partnered with heaviness,
Knowing they won’t adversely judge you
Because they are aware what you verbalize-
At times-
Are only your thought process.
A verbal assembly of a visual puzzle
Where not every piece belongs,
Though it might fit.
It’s amazing,
Er, no
Relieving,
To be your true, unguarded self.
