EPS honors the histories and accomplishments of historically marginalized identities all year long through identity acknowledgments and heritage months. All community members get the chance to learn more about the customs, people, academics, history, and contemporary experiences of those who have triumphed over oppression to create possibilities for everyone by attending these recognitions. The calendar is a useful tool to make sure we're inclusive of all members of our community, and it's vital to highlight that the celebration of each legacy contained in it is not time-limited.
You are cordially invited to submit any other commonly observed cultural observances for consideration to the EVERETT PUBLIC SCHOOLS DEIB ADVISORY BOARD. Your suggestions and ideas contribute to awareness-building and offer EPS students opportunities for cross-cultural learning and interaction.
