I am Billy Kisia, also known as B.K Arts, born on August 29, 1997, in Moi's Bridge, Uasin Gishu county, Kenya. My passion for drawing started at 9 years old, gaining recognition from peers and teachers. Despite financial challenges, I pursued a Bachelor of Art and Design at the prestigious University of Nairobi. Health issues, fees problems, and the COVID-19 pandemic forced a break from studies, but I used the time to hone my drawing skills with graphite pencils, ball pens, colored pencils, and painting. Sharing my artwork on social media and YouTube brought positive feedback and clients. My ultimate goal is to inspire, console, spread love, and create change through art. Determined to leave a lasting impression, I embrace each step of this creative journey.
Peril
This artwork challenges the issue of women facing assaults, shedding light on the dangers they endure. It highlights their limited freedom of expression and their struggle to assert themselves during difficult situations due to the prevailing dominance of harmful men in society.
Arise Again
A woman embodying the essence of resilience will persist until she achieves victory. Even when she stumbles, she consistently gets back up, determined to overcome challenges and fight for what is just. Women possess exceptional and almost superhuman qualities, often working quietly behind the scenes to ensure triumph. This artwork aims to acknowledge the profound determination of a woman on the verge of unleashing her inner strength and resilience.
