Below is a mock-up of my final project for the Baruch class ART 2050: Intro to Graphic Design, which I took during the Summer 2026 session.
The final project was to make an original three-page magazine spread based on a one-word title while utilizing only our own original photos + writing. I titled the project Moments to highlight how I use photography as a way to capture beauty in everyday experiences. The selection of photos can be found on my full photography portfolio, which is available at vsco.co/mellowmanstudios/gallery.
I had a lot of fun designing this project! I explored how negative space, various fonts and text colors, and photos create an emotional aspect of visual design. This was my first time using InDesign!
The spread and cover design for Moments were created using Adobe InDesign, and the 3d realistic book mock-up (with the grey background) was done using Photoshop.
