While I am just beginning my journey into animation, I have created one full piece: Instant Noodles, the video embedded above.
Instant Noodles was created as the final project for my first-semester animation/digital arts class while I was a student at Pratt Institute in 2023. I spent several weeks hand-drawing around 400 frames on Procreate to create this piece, and I felt so proud watching my drawings become fluid and come to life by the end of this project.
The animation explores themes of loss and change associated with a breakup, and I enjoyed pushing myself to learn new skills throughout creating this animation. In particular, I focused on experimenting with a new method of shading - a graphic, black-and-white drawing style that reminds me of minimalist tattoos or comic books.
I look forward to creating more animations in the future!
