Personality
As a young tokota, often times Kunik will follow the leader, mimicking them and doing as they do. Around new tokotas or humans he was a rather shy and reserved Tokota, keeping close to his own handler and pack mates. But as he's grown under Aputi's love and care he has discovered his love for exploration and a, though tame, sense of adventure. For some reason puppies seem to gravitate towards him and it's not uncommon for him to return home after an expedition with one nipping at his heels. Sudden noises startle him, and it's not uncommon for him to see shadows darting from the corners of his eyes at night.
History
Kunik remembers very few things from his puppyhood. The main memories manifest in the form of fearful emotion, but his happy memories always involve his long lost brother. What he does remember most is growing separated from him and thrown into deep darkness that seemed to last forever. But it didnt, and his next memory is of bumping into Taktuq and Tapeesa as he clawed his way up into the light from the tunnels he was lost in.
Taktuq invited him to return home with them, and Aputi instantly fell in love with him. He became a crucial member to the pack right away, showing an affinity for searching and finding with his sensitivity to sound and smells. Now as an adult with a shred of confidence, he extends the same paw to lost pups he finds on expeditions like the one Taktuq gave to him when he was a pup.
