Once upon a time in Scotland, Forgo was a young upstart who raced her way to stardom seemingly overnight. Forgotten Champion's Reign never placed second, and so her nickname easily became Champ among the stable hands and her fellow competitors. Her specialties were derby and stakes race. Champ was loved, Champ was adored, Champ was a champion. Her accomplishments were immense and her future limitless.

At least, until her accident. During a warm up sprint a hole in the track was missed that her paw fit perfectly into. Champ's future crashed with her when she hit the dirt. A muscle tendon in her left leg had snapped. Her owner, a wealthy man who wore many hats, had three choices. Pay for a surgery to fix Champ's leg that only had a fraction of success, retire her early and make a final cash in on her name, or put her down. He decided it wasnt worth the monetary risk to try and fix her leg and the shame of retiring her early was not something he wanted attached to his name. Putting his golden racer down was his choice.

Champ was carted away the day after her accident, her collar removed and fear in her heart. She didnt know what was happening as the long ride to her final destination was made. She was all alone and the scenery change disoriented her whenever she looked out the windows. But eventually they rushed her inside a building full of frightened cries and the intense smell of cleaning products covering up the faint scent of death. Champ figured out why she was there, she was there to die.

Everything happened too fast. She was on a cold table in minutes, only pulled out of her racing thoughts for a moment as the prick of a needle on her leg made itself known. She became tired. All she could think as she slipped out of consciousness is that she didnt want to die. Not yet. Not like this.

Then her eyes opened. She could see the shocked expressions on the men's faces as her feeling returned. Another, more frantic, shot later and a flutter of her heart caused the men to leave her to her own devices in the room for what felt like hours. Champ's leg still ached, but she was alive and coherent. She couldnt figure out what had happened. Soon she was ushered back into the trailer she came in and for a bit she thought she was going home. But instead she was taken to yet another building that reeked of fear and anxiety.

This one was different, there were living tokotas like her in enclosures as well as other people. Champ spent only a few days recovering in this new area, but soon found herself in a similar situation. On a cold table. A needle in a woman's hand who put it into her leg. She was deemed "Unadoptable", whatever that meant. And this time everything stopped.

Her thoughts returned slowly, as did the ability to feel. She was laying down in some moving truck among other still and lifeless bodies. But she was not lifeless anymore. A voice that sent shivers down her spine came to her ears. A being named Sivoganik granted her wish to live by taking the life force of another tokota suffering from some sort of ailment who didnt want to keep going and gave it to her. At first she was thrilled at her second chance, until she saw the color on her once fully black fur start to fade in some places. Confused she turned to Sivo for answers, and Sivo laughed in a way that still haunts her.

His wishes came with stipulations. And hers was that in exchange for a second chance to live she would forever live with the pain her donor felt, gain some of their physical attributes, and her injury could never heal. But that was okay for a second chance at life, right?

Champ became horrified with what this spirit did to her, and as soon as the doors of the truck were opened she fled into the nearby woods without a second glance back. She lurked in the woods for what felt like eternity to her. Her appearance brought pain to her chest and her cries to any spirit to fix her every night often frightened herself.

Then she met Taktuq.
