From October 7th to 11th, the 3rd meeting of the partners of the program "New Values of Democracy in Modern Europe" took place in Knin, Croatia. Two teachers and five students from each country actively participated in the program's activities and workshops. The main topics of the meeting were Mediation and Advocacy.
Participants carried out activities, lectures, and workshops related to the theme. They also prepared projects on the democratic school, biodiversity, recycling, and exploring Croatia's cultural heritage. They visited the city hall and spoke with the mayor about important issues such as the peaceful coexistence of different cultures, the benefits of Europe for young people, and their future in modern Europe. They went to the local radio station and spoke with a well-known journalist about their experiences in the European program. They were guided through the sights of the area, such as the city castle. They visited the museum of the famous inventor Faust Vrancic, as well as the coral museum and the unique plastic-free island.
It was a creative week where students and teachers from the participating countries had the opportunity to communicate, interact, understand the concept of mediation, and spend wonderful moments in the beautiful nature of Croatia."
